Lighting of Workspaces in Compliance with Standards

To ensure that employees are as efficient and generally satisfied as possible in performing their tasks, special attention needs to be given to adequate room lighting. The paper provides a detailed explanation of the lighting of workspaces, as well as the significance it has on the quality of human life. The requirements for efficient lighting are presented, and the standards used in this field are listed. Additionally, the method of lighting individual workspaces in the building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of East Sarajevo, is described. A practical example of lighting calculation in the Relux software package is presented. Concrete measures for improving the lighting of these workspaces are also proposed.
