Improved Hashing Algorithm for Data Integrity and Security

This study introduces an improved hash method aimed at enhancing data integrity and security in applications requiring a 256-bit hash code. The suggested hash algorithm is build based on the MD5 and SHA-256, the suggested method combines their strengths to address the limitations of existing hashing algorithms. The primary challenge addressed is the need for improved efficiency and security, particularly in the face of evolving cryptographic attacks. The method's design focuses on optimizing efficiency and security, with a specific emphasis on resistance to variation attacks and avalanche effects. Test results confirm that the proposed hash method surpasses both MD5 and SHA-256 in terms of efficiency and security, demonstrating a higher probability of security against variation attacks and avalanche effects. These findings suggest that the proposed method holds promise for enhancing data integrity and security in diverse applications, with potential future research focusing on further optimization and real-world application validation.
