Design and Analysis of QCA Technology Based 2:1 Multiplexer

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata is an advanced breakthrough in the nano-scale realm that has become a true competitor to conventional complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology. In this work, 4 designs of multiplexers are implemented in the QCA tool. Further, their performance is analyzed in terms of latency, compactness and energy dissipation to get the optimized design. The improved design has latency of 1 clock cycle, cell count of 34 and energy dissipation of 15.5meV.
