Design and Simulation Industrial Wood Furniture Manufacturing Plants

The wood industry is considered an industry that plays a critical role in the development of Vietnam’s economy; the export turnover of wood and wood products has continuously grown over the years. When most Vietnamese businesses use plantations, industry development always goes hand in hand with protecting the environment, contributing to the development of plantations, providing raw materials, and creating employment opportunities for hundreds of people. Plantation forests have also created employment opportunities for many families and people in rural, mountainous, remote, and isolated areas. With the trade war between China and the US and the development of the epidemic, Vietnam has many advantages in maintaining production stability, becoming the world’s second-largest wood furniture exporter and the world’s second-largest wood furniture exporter. Largest wooden furniture entering the US market. The free trade agreement between Vietnam and the EU has opened up many market opportunities and increased price competitiveness. This also brings some difficulties. Orders are growing rapidly, the source of raw materials is unstable, and production facilities cannot meet them in time. They are still afraid of domestic products in the domestic market and prefer imported goods. One reason is that the cost of domestic products is relatively high. Therefore, manufacturers face many challenges and difficulties in improving quality, productivity, and competitiveness to meet customer requirements. This study presents an approach that aims to optimize a factory’s layout design based on Lean and SLP methods incorporating 4.0 technology in the Industrial Wood Furniture Manufacturing Plant. This study provides an overall model of an optimal and modern Industrial Wood Furniture Manufacturing Plant. It also evaluates and analyzes the project’s pros and cons without spending much money. The results also indicated that transportation, production time, and costs are reduced significantly.
