Eyeball Tracking Based Communication System for Disabled People

Communication is crucial in today's digital age, but for people with disabilities, such as severe motor impairments or paralysis, traditional forms of digital communication, such as typing or voice commands, can be extremely difficult, if not impossible. These people frequently suffer significant challenges in expressing themselves, establishing social connections, and participating in different elements of modern life. To address this significant issue, a specialised communication system is required which can help in addressing the issues faced by them during communication. While existing communication tools for people with disabilities exist, they are frequently limited in terms of accessibility, usability, and flexibility to different types of disability. The proposed idea involves reading the video of the user and tracking their eyeball movement, this is utilized to convert corresponding sequence into a predefined English sentence. This helps in overcoming the inefficacies of pre-existing architectures on which communication systems are built upon which are provided in general to people with disabilities. This implementation is evaluated based on its performance in various unit tests allowing for the proper functioning of the system.
