Teaching Indian Classical Music Using Web-Based Interactive Platform and Real-Time Audio Analysis

Music education has traditionally relied on theo-retical instruction and sheet music. However, integrating real-time audio analysis and interactive learning tools introduces a paradigm shift in how students can grasp music fundamentals. This paper introduces a web-based interactive platform and real-time audio analysis system for teaching Indian classical music (ICM) fundamentals. The platform incorporates a series of experiments, each aimed at enhancing the understanding of music elements, from simple music notes to complex melodies. Audio analysis is also performed in real-time using the DSP kit TMS320C6713. This paper provides a concise overview, emphasizing the significance of these signal-processing techniques in music education and their potential to revolutionize interactive music learning. Students can experiment, compose, and visualize music elements, promoting creativity and a deeper appreciation of musical nuances. Real-time feedback enhances the learning experience, allowing immediate correction and improvement.
