AgriTech: Technology Driven E-Commerce Platform for Sustainable Agricultural Development

The development of AgriTech, a comprehensive digital platform, integrates successful elements from existing agricultural portals to enhance farmer support and market access. Drawing from the Krishi Portal, AgriTech provides real-time crop management and market trend information through a user-friendly web-based interface. Inspired by the Kisan Sarathi Portal, AgriTech features direct communication channels between farmers and agricultural experts, improving accessibility and usability. By leveraging AGROPEDIA's extensive repository of agricultural knowledge, AgriTech aims to offer a comprehensive and easily navigable resource for best practices and problem-solving. Additionally, incorporating Farmer Circle's model for direct sales connects farmers with businesses and bidders, streamlining transactions and ensuring fair pricing. These existing models, however, fail to provide a user-friendly platform for the farmers. Moreover, they lack in depth features that the proposed AgriTech platform provides (Eg- chat bot, market place, in-route logistics, etc.). As a result, AgriTech seeks to be a holistic platform that supports farmers in improving productivity and simplifies market access, addressing technological and practical challenges to deliver broad benefits across the agricultural sector.
