Prediction Model for Skid Resistance of Asphalt Pavement Based on Accelerated Abrasion Test

In this study, the skid resistance attenuation law of asphalt pavements with different gradation types is investigated by accelerated loading abrasion tests. A fitting analysis based on an asymptotic model is also performed to construct the attenuation function for the skid resistance of different asphalt pavements. To quantify the impact of material parameters on the attenuation parameters of the skid resistance of asphalt pavements, SPSS is utilized to analyze the multivariate linear fitting of skid resistance indexes, aggregate indexes, and other parameters of dense asphalt mixture pavements. Moreover, a service life prediction model for skid resistance of asphalt pavements is established based on abrasion experiments.
