Protocol Model and Execution Protocols for Networked MRO Intralogistics *

Aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul intralogistics (MRO intralogistics) are essential to ensure normal aircraft maintenance operations. However, MRO intralogistics faces several challenges, including planning inaccuracy, scheduling disruption, and execution uncertainties. In analogy to computer networking, this study proposes a networked framework for MRO intralogistics management. First, this work designs a protocol model to organize the planning, scheduling, and execution decisions systematically to achieve end-to-end communication among various participants. Second, this study proposes a network topology for organizing the physical logistics elements, such as parts, workers, and logistics equipment. Additionally, the study designs tables to instruct the physical logistics elements quickly. Third, the work designs the execution protocols to address the execution uncertainties in MRO intralogistics, such as absent workers and shortage of equipment. The protocol model and execution protocols of the networked MRO intralogistics realize its flexible and efficient management.
