Research on Local Position Compensation and Route Optimization Based on Low-Cost GPS and Odometer

GPS can widely reflect location information for intelligent vehicle navigation and direction control. However, GPS positioning in small areas is slow, and the positioning accuracy is insufficient, resulting in delays in the directional control of intelligent cars. Therefore, this project uses low-cost GPS and odometer-based local route optimization and real-time position compensation to convert GPS global latitude and longitude maps to local-scale flat maps, improving real-time positioning accuracy while the car is driving. Additionally, the Dubins algorithm plans a local path to achieve the optimal driving path.
