Ghost Target Suppression for Azimuth Multichannel SAR Based on Lq Regularization and Image Fusion

Azimuth multichannel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has become an important means to achieve high-resolution and wide-swath (HRWS) observation, however, the channel phase error leads to serious ghost targets. In this letter, the effect of phase error on multichannel imaging is first analyzed. Then a ghost target suppression algorithm is proposed, the key to which is to perform spectral selection and
$L_{q}$
regularization based on the spectral characteristics of multichannel signals with phase error to obtain multiple sub-images with different ghost target distributions. Based on these sub-images, the final image with all ghost targets suppressed can be generated by image fusion. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the GaoFen-3 satellite real data experiment.
