Radiation Characterization and Evaluation of Airborne Environmental Telemetry Antennas

This study focuses on simulating the radiation performance testing of airborne telemetry antennas in various installation environments to assess the differences in antenna patterns caused by different skin materials. A test platform was constructed in a microwave anechoic chamber to simulate the airborne installation environment. The effects of different materials on the platform on the radiation characteristics of airborne telemetry antennas were investigated, and specific impacts were analyzed. Experimental results indicate significant variations in radiation characteristics of airborne telemetry antennas due to installation materials. Adjustments in antenna quantity and installation angles may be necessary to mitigate the environmental impact on the radiation performance of airborne telemetry systems when required.
