A deployable V-band Reflectarray Antenna for 12U CubeSat Platform

A deployable V-band reflectarray antenna (RA) with aperture dimensions of 504×504 mm is proposed for 12U CubeSat platform. The reflectarray board is split into three panels so that its stowage volume could reach 504×168×60 mm, to be carried on a 12U CubeSat platform with dimensions of 600×200×100 mm. Double circle rings unit-cell is used to constitute the RA for its low loss and excellent performances under oblique incidences. Theoretical computed results of RA indicate that extremely high gain, narrow beam width and low side lobe are reached. The deployment structural design of RA is also presented in the paper.
