Driving Economic Growth via QRIS Adoption in Indonesia with Trust Moderating Variable

Using TAM theory, this study evaluates the factors that can influence users towards behavioral intention and usage behavior of QRIS. QRIS is a key driving innovation for economic growth in the digital era that integrates various digital payment methods using one universal QR code. This study aims to investigate the impact of perceived ease of use and perceived benefits on behavioral intentions and QRIS usage behavior. This study also adds trust as a moderating variable between the relationship of behavioral intention and usage behavior. A total of 180 active QRIS user responses were analyzed using convenience sampling with a partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM). The analysis was carried out quantitatively, namely reliability test, validity test, hypothesis test, and moderation test. The results showed that perceived ease of use and perceived benefits have a positive influence on behavioral intention. Behavioral intention also plays a positive role in increasing usage behavior in QRIS users. The implications of this study add a new dimension to the technology adoption literature with trust as a moderator, enriching the TAM model and opening up opportunities for exploration of other moderating variables. The findings encourage developers to optimize features that improve usability and ease of use, and encourage innovation in digital payment technology.
