Analysis of Bistatic RCS of Multiple Simple Targets Based on MoM-ACA Algorithm

In this paper, adaptive cross approximation (ACA) is introduced into Method of Moments (MoM) to analyze the multiple targets EM scattering problems by the electric field integral equation (EFIE) approach. The targets are divided into near-field regions and far-field regions based on the distance from the midpoint of the edge. The interactions of the near-field regions are calculated directly by MoM, and ACA is used for accelerated calculation of the far-field regions impedance matrix. The memory requirement and CPU time consumption are reduced drastically. When the subdomains decomposition size is 2.0 λ of the first case, it is the optimal coarsest level for this case. When the subdomains decomposition size is 1.0 λ of the second case, it is the optimal coarsest level for this case. ( λ is the wavelength)
