A Comparison Study of the Energy-Saving Effectiveness of Envelope Retrofits in Public Building in Cold Climate Regions

This paper takes an existing library building in Liaoyuan, Jilin, China, as the study object, conducts simulations and analyses of the building envelope energy consumption, and proposes an energy-saving plan tailored for retrofitting the envelopes of existing public buildings in cold climate regions. The aim is to enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and provide a reference for future retrofit studies and designs in similar contexts.
