Output Current Balancing Control Strategy of Energy Storage Units Based on Improved Consensus Algorithm

A control strategy based on an improved consensus algorithm for balancing the output current of energy storage units in isolated DC microgrids, considering differences in the line impedance of storage units, is proposed. A timing convergence improved consensus algorithm is introduced, which can achieve convergence within a specified time, thereby enhancing the convergence speed compared to traditional consensus algorithms. The timing convergence consensus algorithm is combined with droop control to ensure bus voltage stability in isolated DC microgrids. The impact of different operating conditions on the output current balance of energy storage units is analyzed by MATLAB/Simulink, verifying the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
