TESLA-Family of Large-Signal Codes as Fast and Efficient Computational Tools for Accurate Modeling of Linear-Beam VE Amplifiers

We present an overview of the TESLA-family of large-signal codes, which now include klystron code TESLA, Coupled-cavity TWT code TESLA-CC, Serpentine/Folded-waveguide TWT code TESLA-FW and general-purpose code TESLA-Z. While the first 3 algorithms utilize classical circuit-based approach, the recently added into the family code TESLA-Z is based on impedance matrix Z importing and does represent more general, geometry-driven approach to the large-signal modeling. We will provide an overview and the current status of the TESLA-family of codes together with examples of their successful applications to the modeling of different types of linear-beam VE amplifiers.
