The Effect of Thermal Contact Resistance on Space Helix Traveling Wave Tube

It mainly studies the contact thermal resistance between the helix and the clamping rod in the slow wave structure of a helical traveling wave tube. Firstly, starting from the single point contact model, a theoretical calculation model of contact is obtained, and the influence of contact thermal resistance on heat transfer in the slow wave structure is simulated using finite element analysis software. It is confirmed that contact thermal resistance does indeed hinder heat transfer, leading to temperature discontinuity. And based on the obtained temperature data, the numerical value of contact thermal resistance was calculated using theoretical formulas, and the influence of contact pressure and surface roughness on contact thermal resistance was analyzed
