Diagnostics System for Electron Beam Emission Characteristics Analysis

The performance of an electron gun is the most important factor in determining the performance of vacuum electronic devices. Accordingly, electron beam characteristics such as beam current, beam current distribution, beam radius, and beam trajectory should be analyzed before it is assembled with other components. That beam information is essential because the analysis allows us to estimate a performance of the vacuum electronic devices more precisely. We present a simple electron beam diagnostics system to achieve desired beam information and several measured data from the system.
