Average Bit Error Probability Based on Moment Generating Function in the Beaulieu-Xie Fading Channel

This paper presents an analysis of the average bit error probability (ABEP) based on the moment generating function (MGF) over the Beaulieu-Xie fading channel by introducing the influence of the co-channel interference (CCI). This model describes a fading channel consisting of multiple line-of-sight (LOS) components with low diffuse power. We derive an expression for the MGF under such conditions and apply it to derive the ABEP for one modulation example. Then, on the basis of several plotted graphs, an analysis of the action of quantities of fading and CCI on this performance measure in the wireless fading channel thus defined is carried out. The expressions derived here can be confirmed by reducing them to cases of known fading distributions by setting the appropriate parameter values. The achievements of this work are significant when studying actual wireless systems with delay that is present in femtocells, also in high-speed trains, etc.
