Design of $(1+\alpha)$ Order Butterworth Filter Using Curve Fitting Approximation

The objective of this paper is to design $(1+\alpha)$ order Butterworth filter. The novel curve fitting approximation method is used to achieve the rational transfer function in s-domain for low pass, high pass filters and the frequency response of these filters has been obtained with the help of MATLAB simulation software. The main advantage of this method is that the cut of frequencies of the filters are fully controllable, where the flexible and reconfigurable analog filter capabilities are indispensable. The magnitude response of 1.1, 1.3 and 1.5 order filters are compared with the integer order ones.
