Energy Saving Multi-hop Routing Protocol Based on LEACH

With the integration of wireless sensor networks into various fields, people's lives are increasingly dependent on their existence, and a large demand has prompted researchers to continuously study network protocols to improve network performance. The Energy Saving Multi-hop Routing Protocol Based on LEACH, an enhancement of the LEACH protocol, prioritizes energy conservation by considering the energy reserves and geographical distribution of nodes during cluster head selection. It incorporates a multi-hop transmission model to optimize data dissemination efficiency. Simulation results indicate that the proposed protocol achieves a significant reduction in energy use for network nodes compared to LEACH, directly contributing to a longer network lifespan.
