Numerical Simulation of AgI Catalyst Combustion Based on Fluent

Aiming at the problem of high combustion temperature and unstable combustion of a certain rocket AgI catalyst. On the basis of the traditional basic components of AgI catalyst, such as ammonium perchlorate, silver iodide, potassium iodide, ammonium iodide, magnesium powder and neoprene rubber, magnesium powder was replaced by organic composite combustible agent, ammonium perchlorate was partially replaced by strontium nitrate as oxidant, and copper s alt was added to optimize the formulation. The combustion numerical simulation of the new formula was carried out by using Fluent software. The combustion temperature trend li ne is drawn by Matlab software to judge the dispersion degree and the combustion stability is judged by observing the combustion flame form. The results show that the combustion temperature of the new formula is lower than that of the original formula, the combustion is more stable, and the new formula can better fulfill the requirements of artificial rain enhancement and hail prevention.
