Arduino-Powered Fingerprint Authentication for Door Access Control

The Fingerprint Door Lock (FPDL) using Arduino with SIM800L research is designed to improve the security and convenience of door access control by integrating fingerprint recognition with Arduino and the SIM800L module. The research utilizes the reliability and flexibility of Arduino micro controllers and the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) capabilities of the SIM800L module to offer a robust and efficient solution. In this system, a fingerprint sensor captures and verifies user fingerprints, providing precise and personalized access control. The Arduino board serves as the main controller, handling fingerprint data processing and communication with the SIM800L module through GSM technology. This setup allows for remote operation of the doorlock, enabling authorized users to lock or unlock the door from a distance using their registered fingerprints. Key functionalities of the research include fingerprint enrollment, template matching, secure data transmission, and real-time status monitoring. During the enrollment phase, users can register their fingerprints, which are securely stored in the system's database. Future scans are matched against the stored templates to either grant or deny access. The SIM800L module ensures the encrypted transmission of data between the door lock system and users' mobile devices, providing secure and dependable communication. By integrating Arduino, fingerprint recognition, and GSM technology, this research offers an effective solution for enhancing door access control systems. The combination of fingerprint authentication and remote management features delivers a robust and user-friendly method for secure access control, reducing the dependency on traditional keys or access cards.
