Abstract:

Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed numerous industries, including the car industry, which has experienced a tremendous surge in linked and autonomous vehicles. IoT might change the auto industry by boosting safety, efficiency, and driving pleasure. IoT allows cars to gather and analyze sensor data in real time, allowing them to react faster to changing road conditions and possible threats. Vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs may be optimized using this data. IoT technology allows vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) connection. V2V communication lets vehicles exchange speed, position, and direction, warning drivers about possible accidents. V2I connection lets cars receive traffic congestion, road closure, and other data to help drivers pick the best path. In automobiles, IoT is used for ADAS, telematics, and predictive maintenance. ADAS technologies like lane departure warning, collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control use sensors and data processing to increase safety. Telematics data on vehicle performance, driving behavior, and maintenance needs helps car owners and manufacturers maximize performance and cut costs. Predictive maintenance employs data analysis to spot maintenance concerns before they escalate.
