An Update to the Design of a Millimeter Wave Multiple-Beam Phased Array Antenna Prototype

This paper reports the progress in the development of a millimeter wave multiple-beam phased array antenna prototype. As compared to its previous counterpart, the present design increases the number of beams from 4 to 8. But because of the use of multichannel multifunction chips and four-stage blind mate connections between modules, the gross weight of the prototype is reduced from 10 Kg to 7 Kg. Measurement performance meets the specified requirements.
