Ultra-thin Electromagnetic Absorbers Comprised of Magnetodielectric Circuit Boards and FSS Loading

This work considers electromagnetic absorber design based on commercially-available magnetodielectric circuit boards. Transmission line models are used to predict the absorption characteristics, as well as provide insight into how to retune via reactive loading using frequency selective surfaces. The resulting design methodologies facilitate practical design of ultra-thin absorbers using magnetodielectric circuit boards.
