Fast Peak Localization of Beam-Steerable Phased Arrays in a Near-Field Setup

In this paper, the main beam peak of beam-steerable phased arrays is measured in a faster way than conventional methods. By estimating the array element patterns, multiple array patterns can be synthesized without measuring each beam pattern. With the efficient reconstruction of multiple beams, the main beam peak can be quickly located with a direction error of ±1° and a gain error of ±0.3 dB, compared with the reference.
