Propagation Path Analysis during Shadowing of a Human Body at 300 GHz

The study assessed the direction of arrival (DOA) and delay characteristics of propagation waves in a 300 GHz band radio link when the human body interrupts the line-of-sight propagation path. When there is a gap between the torso and the arm, the reflection wave inside the arm exhibited about 17 dB higher amplitude than the diffraction wave at the torso. Furthermore, when the human body was clothed, the DOA of the propagation path expanded in the direction parallel to the arm, and the delay profile widened by more than 0.23 ns.
