Reflection Characteristic Measurement of Indoor Walls in the 150 GHz Band

Indoor high-speed wireless LANs are considered as a typical use case for communication systems using the sub-THz band, and MIMO transmission using indoor reflected waves is promising to achieve high-speed transmission. Therefore, it is an important issue to clarify the channel response characteristics of reflected waves in the communication band. In this report, we measured the frequency response of reflected waves in the 150 GHz band with varying polarization and incident angle on metal and plaster walls, which are typical indoor wall surfaces. As a result, it was confirmed that the variation of reflected power within the band increases as the reflected power decreases.
