An Efficient Null Steering Method for Nonuniform Sparse Phased Array Optimization

In this paper, an efficient beam null steering method based on nonuniform fast Fourier transform and genetic algorith-m, NUGA, is proposed to solve the low beamforming efficiency in low earth orbit satellite anti-interference null steering. The approximate substitution mechanism is illustrated and the beam null steering performance in accuracy and efficiency is verified. The results show that the average null depth of NUGA is 15 dB lower than that of GA within the same optimization time, and NUGA can complete about 80 more evolutionary iterations than GA in every 5 seconds.
