Charge Pump Stage Optimization for 2.4 GHz/5.8 GHz Dual-Band Rectifier

This paper simplifies the dual-band rectifier design at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz by only using Skyworks SMS7630 Schottky diodes, high-Q capacitors, and 4 microstrip lines for tuning. The dual-band rectifiers with 2, 4, 6, and 8-stage charge pumps are simulated and optimized in Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) on Rogers RO3003 substrate. Results showed that the 4-stage design presents the best option for a dual-band rectifier.
