POTR Over POTF Simulation — a Way to Check Compliancy with ARC Specs Prior Tag Measurement

In this work, we show how to benchmark the RF performance of a RAIN RFID tag against ARC specs' requirements on both forward (POTF) and return (POTR) links, utilizing a pure simulative approach. To enable this, the POTR values should be presented as a function of POTF values, as dictated by ARC spec threshold definitions. Simulated results are in good agreement with the measured data and thus are extremely useful, especially at the initial phase of tag antenna development against a certain ARC spec, before manufacturing and evaluation of the tag.
