Multi-Band MIMO Antenna System with Mutual Coupling Reduction via Ring SRR Metasurface Wall

This research uses circular SRR metasurface (MS) walls to improve mutual coupling in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna system. The array of $\mathbf{two} \times \mathbf{two}$ rectangular patches is positioned between the MS structure and the horizontal plane in a normal orientation. The EM simulator is utilized to test the recommended array. The impact of using the meta-surface wall is demonstrated by the result metrics. Mutual coupling is decreased by applying the recommended MS barriers.
