Enhancing Broadband Performance with a Novel Three-Stage Tapered Slot Antenna Featuring Exponential Curve

This study introduces an innovative three-stage tapered slot antenna design, incorporating exponential curves to significantly improve radiation performance and maintain a broad impedance bandwidth. By employing a unique combination of increasing and inverted decreasing exponential curves, the antenna effectively minimizes sidelobes and sharpens the $3\mathbf{dB}$ beamwidth beyond the capabilities of traditional Vivaldi and Linear Tapered Slot Antennas (LTSA). Comparative evaluations reveal that this design not only matches but surpasses the radiation gain and bandwidth specifications of its predecessors, offering a substantial advancement for broadband communication and imaging technologies.
