Passive Channel Measurement and Analysis of High-Speed Railway Station Scenario at 3.5 GHz

In this paper, a recent channel measurement campaign for high-speed railway station scenario is conducted by using passive measurement platform. Based on the actual measurement data, the path loss (PL) and root mean square (RMS) delay spread of channel characteristics were analyzed. The results indicate that the PL of high-speed railway stations is affected strongly by penetration loss. The delay spread follows a lognormal distribution and is much larger than the WINNER D2a model. These findings provide preliminary channel information for the study of next generation high-speed railway communication systems.
