An Analysis of the Current Status of Student Teachers’ Digital Literacy

The rapid development of a new round of digital technology has changed traditional teaching and education methods. As the reserve force of future teachers, the development and cultivation of digital literacy of student teachers is an inevitable requirement for building a high-quality teacher team and cultivating excellent digital talents in the digital era. The purpose of this study was to explore the overall development status of digital literacy among student teachers in central China, and the differences in digital literacy levels among student teachers under different characteristic backgrounds. The results showed that the digital literacy level of student teachers is in the upper middle level, and there are significant differences in digital literacy among student teachers with different genders, grades, and degree types. This finding is beneficial for promoting the balanced and effective development of student teachers’ digital literacy.
