Effects of Blended Learning by Gamification on Chinese College Students’ College English Learning Engagement and Foreign Language Anxiety

This research explores the impact of integrating gamification into blended learning on Chinese college students’ College English learning engagement and foreign language anxiety(FLA). Using a mixed-methods approach, the study demonstrates positive outcomes. Quantitative data reveal a significant increase in learning engagement and a notable decrease in foreign language anxiety. Qualitative insights highlight students’ positive perceptions of gamified elements, emphasizing heightened motivation and interest. The findings contribute practical implications for educators seeking to enhance language learning experiences through innovative strategies.
