Discrete quasi-sliding mode control of a two rotor aerodynamic system

The variable structure system with sliding modes are wide known for their performance, robustness and low computational effort. The development of digital technology over past decades resulted in the discrete variant of sliding mode control, which is more suitable for modern hardware. This paper presents the discrete-quasi sliding mode control of a highly nonlinear, strongly coupled two rotor aerodynamic system, which is a down-scaled stationary model of a helicopter.
