Package Delivery Robot

This research study focuses on the development and implementation of an advanced package delivery robot managed and controlled by an ATmega328P microcontroller. The robot autonomously picks up packages from designated pickup points and delivers them to their intended destinations within hotel premises. Controlled by hotel staff, the robot’s locomotion and manipulation capabilities are facilitated by servo motors connected to the ATmega328P microcontroller. Additionally, the robot’s movement is regulated by gear motors, which are managed by an L298D motor driver also linked to the microcontroller. Wireless communication between the robot and users is facilitated through a Bluetooth module (HC-05) connected to the microcontroller. In cases where the robot encounters difficulties navigating its environment, a buzzer integrated into the microcontroller emits warning signals to alert nearby individuals. Upon successfully reaching its destination, the robot sends a notification message to the user’s mobile phone via a messaging app controlled by hotel staff. Throughout its journey, the robot’s movements and surroundings are monitored in real-time using a Wi-Fi camera integrated into its design. This innovative package delivery robot offers a hands-free, contactless, and hygienic solution for delivering packages to customers, thereby enhancing user experience and consumer satisfaction within the hospitality sector.
