Architecture Optimized 6×6 Optical Switch Assisted with In-Line Non-Invasive Light Monitors

A broadband thermo-optic switch with optimized architecture is demonstrated. The switch is calibrated in a very straightforward and effective manner by in-line non-invasive light monitors without apparent extra loss or distorting the optical signals.
