Analysis of Electrostatic Heat Dissipation Enhancement in Seawater-Based Brines Using Infrared Imaging

This study investigated electrohydrodynamic heat dissipation in brines sourced from a sea salt farm in southeastern Spain. Utilizing an Infiray P2 Pro^TM infrared imager and MATLAB^TM for analysis, brine samples were heated to $80^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ and analyzed under control and electrostatic conditions. Significant increases in heat flux under electrostatic influence were confirmed by Welch’s T-Test (p < 0.0001, Cohen’s d = -1.0124). This study builds on Barthakur’s empirical research on electrostatic evaporation, demonstrating the efficacy of affordable tools in advancing electrohydrodynamic research.
