Electric Field-Guided Alignment of BNNS Method for Improving thermal conductivity in Epoxy Resin

This study optimized the arrangement of boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS) within an epoxy resin matrix using 3D printing technology combined with precise photopolymerization and electric field conditions to enhance thermal conductivity. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was utilized to observe the orientation distribution of BNNS, and comparative analysis revealed that under the influence of a 0.5 $\mathrm{kV} / \mathrm{cm}$ direct current (DC) electric field, the thermal conductivity of a $20 \mathrm{wt} \%$ BNNS composite resin increased by approximately 45% compared to a non-oriented sample, while maintaining excellent insulating properties. The findings provide a novel method for fabricating epoxy resin-based composites with anisotropic thermal conductivity at low filler loadings and offer theoretical insights into the application of electric field alignment techniques in composite material manufacturing.
