Trip Craft: Personalized Travel Recommendation Bot

The Travel Recommendation Bot is a specialized solution devised to help users in crafting their travel plans, particularly for destinations and attractions within Kerala, India. By considering user inputs such as origin, duration of stay, and preferred types of attractions and destinations, the bot generates tailored recommendations aimed at enhancing the overall travel experience. Key functionalities of the chatbot include computing travel distances and time with the help of Open-Source Routing Machine (OSRM) API, finding an efficient travel method and employing a dual approach to suggest nearby attractions and recommend destinations based on user preferences. It Leverages a curated dataset and employs the K-Nearest-Neighbor (KNN) algorithm to recommend destinations based on user preferences. The chatbot employs the Rapid Automatic Keyword Extraction Algorithm (RAKE) for Intent Recognition to interpret user queries and deliver personalized suggestions. Through the integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms and the travel-related dataset, the chatbot serves as an effective virtual travel assistant, empowering users to plan their trips efficiently and elevate their travel experiences.
