Arduino-Based PET Bottle Plastic Detection Using Camera and Photoelectric Sensor

This research investigates the application of an Arduino-based system for PET bottle plastic detection using the Esp32 Cam camera module and the Photoelectric Sensor E3Z B61. The study stems from the necessity to develop a cost-effective and locally tailored waste collection ATM (Automatic Trash Machine) to address community needs. The comparison focuses on the performance and reliability of the Esp32 Cam camera module and the Photoelectric Sensor E3Z B61 in detecting PET bottles within the context of an Arduino-based waste collection system. The background of this study is grounded in the imperative to create an affordable waste management solution that aligns with the specific requirements of the local community. The utilization of the Esp32 Cam and Photoelectric Sensor E3Z B61 is examined, considering factors such as accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The findings aim to provide insights into the optimal choice for PET bottle detection technology, contributing to the development of accessible and community-centric waste management solutions.
