Design of Computation-in-Memory Using ReRAM and Voltage Controlled Oscillator based Analog to Digital converter

The effectiveness of medical implants and portable wireless sensors is often compromised by the short battery life, which are essential applications in the field of biomedicine. The creation of integrated circuit architectures that are energy- effectual must so be given top priority. By concentrating on how battery life and subsequent heat indulgence are impacted by power use in the context of biomedical applications. The suggested study is to build in memory computation using ReRAM and a voltage-controlled oscillator-based ADC. An analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that uses less power was developed by utilizing the architecture of a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). The study offers a novel solution to these problems. The analog vital signs that are obtained must be converted into digital data by this ADC in order to be processed further as digital signals. The solution uses a current-starved approach and a five-stage VCO configuration to save a significant amount of power. The hardware architecture is made simpler by introducing the D-flip flop (D-FF) approach for the reset counter. Using a simple hardware structure, the suggested design makes it easier to convert analog input signals to digital output. It is implemented using 90 nm CMOS technology and 18nm Finfet. When compared to CMOS technology, FinFet technology has a lower power usage.
