Efficient Coil Design for 500W Wireless Power Transfer for EV Charging Using Ansys Maxwell

In Wireless power transfer application, inductive power techniques are commonly used for battery charging for electric vehicle. Wireless Power Transfer offers a promising avenue for automating power delivery to consumers, eliminating the need for human interaction. On the other hand, a suitable vehicle to grid connection and proper control and coil design are necessary for an efficient wireless power transfer method. Coil design are essential for ensuring optimal power delivery between the primary and secondary in order to enable effective and reliable power transfer. This paper presents 500 W WPT used in flat spiral and flat rectangular coil. The comparison from results proves which design of coil can be used for 500 W WPT system.
