CAD-based Analysis for the Design of Amphibious Vehicle Propeller

Amphibious vehicles in this paper are a type of vehicle that can operate on land and shallow waters, suitable for tourism and rescue purposes. The propeller design needs to reflect the relationship between the hull and engine shape to determine optimal performance for the amphibious vehicle propulsion system. A full-scale design method based on propeller geometric parameters analysis (CAD-based) to determine thrust and torque. This paper presents an algorithm for integrating empirical coefficients of amphibious vehicle shape and engine in the design process to support propeller selection. Propeller parameters are built from the algorithm including diameter, pitch, blade area ratio (BAR), and the number of blades suitable for amphibious vehicles.
