OTFT-MiniLED with Novel Retardation Film

This report elucidates a scheme for improving image and signal quality in the latest OTFT mini/micro-LED structures. Using the framework of Jones matrices, the rationality of the current symbol operation settings is investigated and a suitable structure that meets the requirements is derived. This serves as the basis for the design and manufacture of retardation plates. The analysis yields two sets of solutions that simultaneously satisfy the Ambient Contrast Ratio (ACR) and brightness enhancement issues. These optically equivalent film structures, characterized by tunable birefringent materials or multiple combinations, can achieve the specified characteristic matrices. One solution, demonstrated in the form of Pauli matrices, illustrates the close relationship between manufacturing parameters and birefringent materials in the introduction of these novel OTFT panels.
